It may seem like spring is on its way, but the weather in San Francisco is still cold and rainy. I’ve been fighting through the mist to walk to work when I can, but resorting to the bus more often than I would like. On cold days like this, nothing is more comforting than a warm bowl of soup. I love that a hearty pot of soup is the perfect canvas for so many yummy flavors – from Mexican spices to traditional Japanese ramen. Last week I made a batch of my favorite squash chili (substituting sweet potatoes – so yummy!) but I think that any of these soups would be perfect for the transition from winter to spring. Enjoy!
