Yesterday morning I treated myself for breakfast – Thursday mornings can be rough, right? I didn’t have time to prepare oatmeal the night before, so I picked up this morning bun on my walk to the subway. It was so, so yummy!
I got an adjustable desk this week, which means I can either sit or stand while I work! It’s been so nice to have some freedom and not be stuck in a chair for nine hours straight. I’m trying to spend more time each day standing than sitting – so far, I think I’ve been successful. For lunch yesterday I had some chicken and this quinoa cake. I knew I didn’t have many veggies at home, so I also made sure to fit in a large salad. For a snack later I enjoyed a ripe pear and a handful of nuts.
After work, I headed to the track to move my body and get in some fresh air. It was my last night sleeping in Berkeley, because I’m moving into my new apartment in San Francisco this evening! I’ve been trying to use up the last of my food, so dinner was thrown together: a chicken sausage, two yummy (though not so pretty) fried eggs, some carrots and hummus, and the last of my red grapes. It may sound like a weird combo, but it hit the spot. I spent most of the rest of the evening packing things up and preparing for the move. Oh, and I enjoyed a little vanilla ice cream homemade by the woman I’m staying with – delicious!
