One important part of living with a capsule wardrobe is carefully cultivating the items to include for each season. This means shopping wisely for new additions, but just as important is choosing which pieces to remove from your closet when a season ends. As summer draws to a close, I’ve started to think about the items to exclude from my fall wardrobe. A couple of pieces are worn out, so I’ll likely donate them. More difficult are the things that I still love, but aren’t really appropriate for fall. A perfect example is this short floral sundress. While I still love it, I can’t imagine that I would wear it much on windy, chilly autumn days. So, I’ll be putting it away in storage with a few other summer favorites. I know I’ll miss it, but it also means that I’ll be that much more excited to start wearing it again come next spring!
