My Fall 2015 Capsule Wardrobe

Today, I’m excited to share the items from my fall capsule wardrobe! I loved the experience of living with a summer capsule, and am totally converted to this approach to style and shopping – at least for this stage of my life. If you’re new here, the idea behind a capsule wardrobe is pretty simple: choose a limited set of clothing pieces to wear for a given three-month season.

I decided to experiment with a capsule closet because I wanted to streamline the process of getting dressed in the morning and focus less attention and money towards shopping. Also, I wanted the chance to wear more of my clothing items more frequently. For this fall capsule, I included thirty two items. Twelve were purchased new (marked ****), and the remaining twenty were carried over from my summer capsule (marked *) or pulled out of storage (marked **). I chose to focus my capsule on a color theme: blues and neutrals. I love the color blue and always gravitate towards it when getting dressed. This approach also means that pretty much all of the items look good together. I’m so excited to wear these pieces for the next three months!
