I can’t believe we’re already a third of the way through 2016. The year has flown by, in part thanks to a very fun and busy month of April! Today, I thought it would be nice to recap some of my recent adventures – let’s dive in!
The month started with a fun weekend of birthday celebrations. I had a relaxing slumber party with one of my best college friends, and we hosted a party at our apartment, too. Complete with strawberry margaritas, lots of dancing, and two adorable dogs.
To cap off the weekend, my amazing boyfriend surprised me with tickets to see Carrie Underwood in concert! He was quite the trooper (not being a big fan of country music) and I had so much fun. Our seats were so close I felt like I could practically touch the stage. The energy in the arena was crazy and Carrie’s voice was so good live!
And I was super spoiled on my actual birthday, too – beautiful flowers delivered to my office, mid-afternoon cupcakes, a few incredibly thoughtful gifts, and the most delicious dinner with some of my favorite people. We forgot to snap photos of the actual food, but imagine creamy burrata, fresh margarita pizza, pasta, meatballs, and an adorable pink layer cake. To Mom, Dad, and Grant – thank you all for making the trip to celebrate with me! I wouldn’t have wanted to spend the night any other way!
The rest of the month was packed with adventures across the city – luckily, we got a ton of sun! Highlights include a trip to the food truck festival in the Presidio…
…a fun run along the water out to the Golden Gate Bridge…
…and a trip to the top of Coit Tower – check out this awesome view of downtown! I’m so excited for the fun times to continue into the summer months. Hope your spring is off to a good start!
